TR Spring Hockey 2018 “Leading the Revolution”

TR Training Format Summary

  • Athletic School Days on the Weekend
  • Incorporating both Ground and Ice
  • Ground Training Will Consist of:
    • MMA
    • Speed Agility Strength
    • Hockey Skill
    • Hockey Tactics and System Development
    • Tumbling and Gymnastics
    • Play On 3 on 3 in Edmonton
    • Competitive Track and Field Event/s
    • Leadership Program
    • Nutrition and Cooking Sessions
    • Goal Setting and Mental Mastery
    • Team Builders and Challenges
  • Ice Training Will Consist of:
    • Skating Skill-Main Focus
    •  Puck Skills
    • Position Specific Skills
    • Contact Confidence Skills
    • Individual Tactics
    • Small Area Games and Battle Skills
  • Ice will be in Leduc-Edmonton Area
  • Ground Training will be conducted at TR Facility when possible and areas close to our ice rentals
  • Tournaments for Silver Teams will be in Alberta
  • Tournaments for Platinum Teams Could Expand Outside of Alberta (depends on parent group)
  • Training Groups on Ice can consist of 24-30 Skaters all doing Skill Work
  • Team Rosters will consist of 12-15 Skaters and 1-2 Goalies depending on age and skill level.

TR Game and Team Rosters

  • Team Game Rosters are not fixed.  Players can move from team to team.
  • Players will be placed on the TR Roster in their Suited Division Based on Predicted Success not Age!
    • Some Athletes may be playing as under or over age Players
    • Some Athletes may be originally slotted on the Platinum Roster
    • Some Athletes may be originally slotted on the Silver Roster
    • All Athletes will get a predicted current placement following each Skate
  • Movement between the teams
    • There can be player movement up depending on this criteria
      • For the Athletes Development as their own age or current division is not challenging
      • Reward for Effort and Attitude
      • Injury and illness
      • Athlete not able to attend
    • There can be player movement down depending on this criteria
      • For the Athletes Development as their own age or current division is too challenging
      • Injury and illness
      • Athlete not able to attend
      • Build Confidence
    • There can be Missed Playing Time and or Suspension depending on this criteria
      • Lack of Discipline
      • Lack of Effort
      • Lack of Respect
